Cityscape Dubai – A Positive Outlook For 2010

The 2009 edition of Cityscape Dubai concluded on Thursday, 8th October 2009, after hours of networking, conference sessions and round table events, where key industry figures discussed the new realities of the market. The show was held under the themes of confidence and innovation within the emerging market real estate sector.

New for this year, the not-for-profit initiatives played a prominent part in emulating the highest level of talks and interaction through a series of Connect Sessions, Investor Round Tables, City Leaders Forum and CEO Business Lunch. The launch of Cityscape Connect – a portal dedicated to enhancing interaction between real estate players – added to the services that Cityscape has to offer to the industry in bringing the professionals from around the world closer to each other.

With positive feedback from exhibitors and participants throughout the duration of the show, Cityscape Dubai has once again surpassed expectations in maintaining its stature as the premier international real estate investment and development event.

The presence of all the major players and the quality of participants kept the business-to-business element strong during the four days as institutional investors, high net worth individuals, and senior real estate professionals continued to conduct deals, while strategising, and planning more effectively for the future.

Running alongside the exhibition were four incisive conferences featuring over 100 speakers, which assembled some of the most powerful minds to deliver cutting-edge strategic insight and interactive peer discussions.

The next Cityscape Dubai is scheduled from 4 – 7 October 2010 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Sheer Cityscape keeps it real
If Cityscape Dubai 2006 and 2007 were the boom years, and 2008 was held against a backdrop of uncertainty, then perhaps fittingly the 2009 show had transparency, realism and cautious optimism in equal measure as the region waits for economic data indicating a consistent recovery is underway.
