Marjan Faraidooni | Chief Pavilions and Exhibitions Officer, Expo 2020 Dubai

As Chief Pavilions and Exhibitions Officer at Expo 2020 Dubai, Marjan’s role is to oversee the development and operations of engaging Expo 2020 led thematic pavilions and exibitions that bring to life the Expo theme of ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’ and the subthemes of ‘Mobility, Sustainability and Opportunity.  In addition, Marjan also oversees the Expo School Programme which entails engagement initiatives targeted towards the school community and the development of a robust operating plan that ensures safe and educationally enriching visits for students during the 6 months event.
Marjan continues to maintain the responsibility of overseeing the strategy development and execution of the Expo 2020 legacy programme, which includes District 2020.
Prior to joining the Expo 2020 team in 2014, Marjan was Director of Portfolio Strategy at Dubai Holding, a government-backed global investment company. Her responsibilities included the development and implementation of strategies for companies across different industries such as healthcare and real estate. Earlier in her career, she worked in the Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, focusing on healthcare research and planning.
Marjan holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology and a Masters of Public Health from Boston University. 
In 2018, she was recognised by Arabian Business as one of their 50 Most Influential Women in the Arab World.
